ANNOUNCING THE BEST OF ASIAN FILM 2005
AT AFI FEST: AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival
NOVEMBER 3 - 13

Each year, the ASIAN NEW CLASSICS section of AFI FEST features eight - 10 of
the top films of the year from Continental Asia. AFI FEST 2005 a full slate
of ten exciting new films, introducing Asia's hippest new directors and
highlighting Asia's great masters. The 2005 ASIAN NEW CLASSICS section is as
follows:

SHANGHAI DREAMS. Dir: Xiaoshuai Wang. CHINA. Set in the early 1980s, against
the backdrop of China’s reform and opening, SHANGHAI DREAMS is the story of
